Alex Smith not yet cleared for 11-on-11 drills

Washington quarterback Alex Smith, who was recently activated from the PUP list, has not yet been cleared for team 11-on-11 drills and has been limited to 7-on-7 work through the first couple of days of training camp. (JP Finlay on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Smith hasn't played since November of 2018, when he suffered a horrific lower leg injury that ended up nearly taking his life, so being on the practice field in any capacity should be considered a victory at this point. In a normal offseason, Smith would be a candidate to take the starting role from second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins by the time Week 1 rolls around. But with a limited offseason and no preseason games, Smith might have to wait until after the season begins if he is going to push for the job.
