Dallas Goedert suffers hairline fracture in thumb

by Mike Maher | Eagles Correspondent | Fri, Aug 21st 4:38pm EDT

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert suffered a hairline fracture in one of his thumbs in practice this week, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. The injury is not believed to be serious, and Goedert could be back with a splint on his thumb as early as next week. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Injuries are already piling up for the Eagles offense, as Goedert joins running back Miles Sanders, wide receiver Jalen Reagor, running back Boston Scott, and fellow tight end Zach Ertz as players who have missed time with injuries or illnesses. The injury doesn't appear to be serious, but Goedert played through ankle and calf injuries in 2019 that reportedly affected his production, so it isn't a great sign to see him already dealing with another injury in training camp.
