Derek Carr has been sharp, remains the clear starter

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been "very sharp" in training camp, and the recently-acquired Marcus Mariota is no threat to the starting job at this point, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic. (Vic Tafur, The Athletic)
Fantasy Impact:
This shouldn't be a surprise, but the arrival of Mariota did present some questions since Gruden isn't the one who drafted Carr and was known to be very high on Mariota when he was an analyst. At least for now, it sounds like Carr's job is safe.
