Davis is having strong camp and is the favorite to serve as McCaffrey’s backup. He is competing with Reggie Bonnafon for the backup role. “Davis has been more involved this summer, and seems to be the front runner to claim the backup role behind McCaffrey,” added Person. Davis has emerged as a dual threat and has looked good in the passing game. “I think Mike Davis has had a great camp,” Panthers’ HC Matt Rhule said. “He’s running, he’s getting opened.”
