Cam Newton doesn't feel like the Patriots' starting quarterback, per Mike Reiss of ESPN. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Newton signed a one-year deal with the Patriots during the off-season. He is taking the majority of the first-team reps but told the media he doesn't feel like the starting QB. "Absolutely not," said Newton. "Every day is a workday for me. That label is not important to me right now, Newton told reporters. I have so much I need to get better at, so much I need to learn, so much I need to be comfortable with. Throughout this process, that's the last thing that I'm pretty much worried about." The 31-year-old is pulling away with the starting QB gig and is expected to be starting for NEw England Week 1. Cam is a high-upside QB2 in fantasy and currently 17th among all quarterbacks in the latest expert consensus rankings.
