Jalen Ramsey and Rams not close to an extension

The Rams are reportedly "not close" on a new deal with star CB Jalen Ramsey, per Josina Anderson. (Josina Anderson on Twitter)

Ramsey and the Rams are not close on an extension, but it's still early. Los Angeles acquired Ramsey from the Jaguars via trade during the 2019 regular season. Ramsey is on the final year of is rookie deal and contract talks between both parties continue. The 25-year-old is expected to move around in coverage in 2020. He racked up 50 tackles, one interception and two forced fumbles over 12 games for the Rams/Jaguars in 2019.
