Keke Coutee off the Texans' 53-man roster prediction?

Aaron Reiss of the Athletic leaves WR Keke Coutee off the Texans' 53-man roster prediction. (The Athletic)

Fantasy Impact:

Coutee has been dealing with a minor stress fracture in his foot and was able to practice on Saturday. The 23-year-old could be left off the Texans' roster all together. "DeAndre Carter, the former substitute teacher who returns kicks and punts and can backup Cobb in the slot," said Texans HC Bill O'Brien. "That comment makes it appear unlikely O’Brien would cut Carter, who entered camp in competition with Coutee," Reiss added. "Coutee had a strong camp when healthy but dealt with an injury once again, limiting his opportunities to prove he was trustworthy enough in the return game to overtake Carter. Coutee’s best shot at making the roster might now be if Houston places fifth-round rookie Isaiah Coulter on IR. Coulter has not practiced since Aug. 22 because of an injury and has not appeared ready to contribute this season." Coutee has had trouble staying healthy in his career as the Texans' WR has missed 17 regular season games due to injury. It remains to be seen if Coutee will be released, but he is not on the fantasy radar for 2020.
