There was chatter earlier on Wednesday that Sanu was "hard-pressed" to make the Patriots roster so this doesn't come as a major surprise. According to multiple sources, the Patriots had been trying to trade the veteran receiver but haven't found any success. His departure in New England raises the fantasy value of N'Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers and once the release becomes official on Thursday, Sanu will look to latch on with a team heading into the 2020 season.
