According to Cecil Lammey of 104.3 The Fan, RB Phillip Lindsay has likely changed the Broncos’ plans at running back heading into the regular season which could mean a 50/50 split or even a “hot hand” approach with newly-acquired Melvin Gordon. (Cecil Lammey on Twitter)
Gordon was reported to be having trouble acclimating to the altitude in Denver and we’ve heard of a nagging rib injury throughout camp as well. Lindsay, who has quietly rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his two seasons in Denver is looking as sharp and prepared as ever during camp. With the real possibility of a 50/50 split or “hot hand” approach, it’s not inconceivable to think both Lindsay and Gordon could produce as RB2s. Gordon at his ADP of RB17 doesn’t provide great value, but Lindsay at his current ADP of RB32 could present incredible value.
