James Robinson played into Leonard Fournette release?

RB James Robinson was impressive in camp and reportedly played into the release of Leonard Fournette. (Gene Frenette on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

“Fournette’s release wasn’t as odd to him as it might appear to others, pointing out he didn’t know much about James Robinson and also wanted to give Leonard time to find a new employer once they felt comfortable with other backs,” per Jaguars GM David Caldwell. Robinson has a chance to start and carve out a role in the Jaguars’ backfield. With the release of Fournette and backup Ryquell Armstead placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the starting running back gig is wide open. The 22-year-old will compete with Devine Ozigbo for early-down work while Chris Thompson handles third-down duties. Robinson is worth a late-round flyer in redraft formats.
