Alvin Kamara, Saints agree to five-year contract extension

According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, The Saints and running back Alvin Kamara have reached an agreement on a five-year contract extension worth $75M in new money. He gets $77.133M overall and a $15M signing bonus. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Kamara and the Saints have reportedly been working on an extension for at least several weeks now, and there were rumors of a holdout and a trade at one point during training camp. But they agree to a massive extension in the end, keeping Kamara in New Orleans after he rushed for 797 yards and five touchdowns and caught 81 passes for 533 yards and another touchdown in 2019.
