Lane Johnson 'expected to try to play today' vs. Washington

by Mike Maher | Eagles Correspondent | Sun, Sep 13th 6:50am EDT

Eagles starting right tackle Lane Johnson is expected to try to play today against the Washington Football Team in Week 1, according to a report from NFL insider Mike Garafolo. Johnson has been limited in practice in recent weeks after undergoing ankle surgery in August. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Eagles are already without starting right guard Brandon Brooks and starting left tackle Andre Dillard, and losing Johnson for Week 1 against a very talented Washington defensive front could have spelled disaster for Philadelphia. If he is unable to go or has to leave the game, Matt Pryor will likely take over at right tackle.
