Marlon Mack: MRI confirms torn Achilles

by Adam Koffler | Cardinals Correspondent | Mon, Sep 14th 11:09am EDT

An MRI has confirmed the worst for Colts RB Marlon Mack, a torn Achilles that will force him to miss the remainder of the season. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Unfortunate news for Mack to start the season. The backfield will now be lead by rookie Jonathan Taylor and third-year man Nyheim Hines, both of who saw a significant amount of work after Mack went down in the 2nd quarter of their Week 1 game against the Jaguars. Taylor should be the featured back week in and week out, and should be considered a RB2 with RB1 upside running behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Hines should be considered a great flex option, especially after seeing eight targets in the passing game in Week 1.
