Frank Gore named Jets starting RB for Week 2

Fantasy Impact:
As expected, Gore will replace Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) as the Jets starting RB. Bell was placed on the injured reserve and is expected back Week 5. Gore will lead the Jets backfield with La’Michal Perine filling in as a change of pace. Newly signed Kalen Ballage could be in the mix as well. The 37-year-old logged six carries for 24 yards against the Bills in Week 1. Gore is a borderline flex play and currently 51st among all running backs in the latest expert consensus rankings Week 2.
