Bengals TE C.J. Uzomah is feared to have torn his Achilles in the 4th quarter of Thursday night’s game vs. the Browns, and will have an MRI on Friday to confirm. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
This would be a season-ending injury for Uzomah should the MRI confirm the worst. Drew Sample would stand to step in as the featured tight end in the offense. Sample looked good against the Browns, catching 7-of-9 targets for 45 yards. The former 2nd round pick figures to be a TE3 with TE2 upside without Uzomah.
