Jerick McKinnon scores a touchdown in second-consecutive game

by Alex Burns | Chiefs Correspondent | Sun, Sep 20th 9:21pm EDT

Jerick McKinnon rushed only three times for 77 yards and a touchdown while failing to bring in his lone target during the 49ers' 31-13 victory over the Jets.

Fantasy Impact:

Once Raheem Mostert was forced to miss the rest of the game with a knee injury, the 49ers' turned to Tevin Coleman, though McKinnon thoroughly outproduced him on a fraction of his touches. With Mostert most likely missing Week 3, both McKinnon and Coleman need to be rostered everywhere while McKinnon may have just earned himself some more touches going forward. Remember, the 28-year-old running back signed a four year, $30 million deal with San Fransisco prior to the 2018 season and Kyle Shanahan has kept him on the roster throughout all of his injuries, proving that he is truly valued.
