Dee Ford (back) expected to miss Week 3

49ers' defensive end Dee Ford is expected to miss Week 3 against the Giants after undergoing further evaluations to a back injury he suffered after Week 1. Ford's timetable to return is unknown. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

San Francisco has lost both of its star defensive ends with the expected sidelining of Dee Ford, as DE Nick Bosa suffered a torn ACL during the 49ers' 31-13 win over the Jets on Sunday. This formidable pass rush is now much less intimidating and could allow opposing QBs to outperform their projections. Keep an eye on the 49ers' schedule if you are streaming a QB.
