Chargers' quarterback Tyrod Taylor was ruled out minutes before his Week 2 start against the Chiefs after a team doctor punctured his lung while attempting to inject a painkiller to treat his cracked ribs. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Chargers' HC Anthony Lynn has defended Tyrod Taylor as their starting quarterback which has drawn some criticism based on rookie quarterback Justin Herbert's solid performance on Sunday. It appears that Herbert will continue to be the starting quarterback heading into Week 3 against the Panthers until an update on Taylor's health is provided.
