The Patriots placed RB Sony Michel on the injured reserve Monday. He will miss the next three weeks and is eligible to return Week 8. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Michel was placed on the injured reserve Monday, but reportedly "could come off it very quickly," per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. He will miss at least the next three games and will be eligible to return Week 8. The Patriots activated RB Damien Harris in a corresponding move. Rex Burkhead, JJ Taylor, James White and Harris will lead New England's backfield while Michel is sidelined.
