Joshua Kelley: Chargers beat writer expects him to get ‘bulk of the work’

by Adam Koffler | Chargers Correspondent | Sat, Oct 10th 3:13pm EDT

With Austin Ekeler now on IR and out for the foreseeable future, Chargers beat writer for The Athletic believes RB Joshua Kelley will receive the “bulk of the work” and “goal-line snaps” while getting 65 percent of the touches. (Daniel Popper on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Kelley and Justin Jackson are both expected to see extended run while Ekeler is on the shelf, but Popper believes it’ll be Kelley that sees the “bulk of the work.” Popper said at a round table event, “the Chargers love Kelley, particularly his physicality, and will continue to ride him despite fumbles in back to back games.” Until further notice, Kelley should be considered in the RB2 conversation, while Jackson could establish a role as a solid flex play.
