Deebo Samuel has forgettable performance in 49ers' Week 5 loss
by Alex Burns | 49ers Correspondent | Mon, Oct 12th 10:43am EDT
Deebo Samuel only managed to catch 2-of-8 targets for 19 yards while adding an additional three yards on his lone rushing attempt during the 49ers' 17-43 loss in Week 5.
Fantasy Impact:
While his final line looks abysmal, it is mainly the product of poor quarterback play as Samuel rarely saw a catch-able target all afternoon. He did manage to tie George Kittle for a team-leading eight targets which is encouraging but with Brandon Aiyuk factoring in as well, Samuel's floor may be a bit lower than years past. Due to the current state of this offense, Samuel should be more on the WR3/WR4 spectrum heading into Week 6.
