Fantasy Impact:

It was reported earlier in the day on Tuesday that the Jets were actively shopping Bell ahead of the trade deadline upcoming in less than a month. Instead, the team decided it was best to part ways with their big free agent signing from 2019. Bell signed a four-year, $52.5M in March of last year, and according to Spotrac, he leaves behind $15M of dead cap in 2020. With his release, Frank Gore once again becomes the feature back, with Lamical Perine operating in a change-of-pace role, but neither is anything more than a deep flex play. Bell’s fantasy value remains to be seen, but in the right situation, this could be a big benefit to his fantasy managers that have held on. He likely won’t be unemployed for very long.
