Adrian Peterson rushed 15 times for 40 yards and a TD, adding an 18-yard reception in the Lions’ 34-16 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Peterson led the backfield in carries once again, but this may be the last game he does so. Rookie D’Andre Swift rushed 14 times for 116 yards and two scores, thoroughly outgaining Peterson on one fewer carry. Swift continues to flash his big upside, and he’ll likely see his touches rise moving forward at the expense of Peterson. AP can still be deployed as a back-end flex in a friendly matchup with Atlanta next week, but temper expectations after this huge showing from Swift.
