Christian McCaffrey (ankle) was not activated off IR, will not play TNF

The Panthers did not officially activate RB Christian McCaffrey (ankle) off injured reserve. He is ineligible to play in Thursday’s contest against the Falcons. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
McCaffrey will not play in Thursday’s contest against the Falcons. His next chance to play will be November 8th against the Chiefs. CMC was cleared to practice this week, but the Panthers want to ensure their star RB is 100 percent healthy. Mike Davis will continue to start in CMC’s place and is surefire RB1 in Week 8’s matchup against a bad Falcons defense.
