49ers' veteran CB Richard Sherman (calf) has been designated to return from IR and has a 21-day window to be activated to the 53-man roster, per Field Yates. (Field Yates on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Sherman has been on IR since suffering a calf strain against the Cardinals in Week 1. His return should strengthen and energize a San Francisco defense that has already surrendered 16 passing touchdowns in nine regular season games. In comparison, the Niners defense gave up just 23 passing touchdowns in 16 regular season games in 2019.
