Jerick McKinnon swallowed up in Week 10

by Alex Burns | Chiefs Correspondent | Mon, Nov 16th 10:15am EST

Jerick McKinnon rushed 18 times for 33 yards and caught 1-of-3 targets for 13 yards during the 49ers' 13-27 loss to the Saints in Week 10.

Fantasy Impact:

With Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman once again sitting this one out, McKinnon was given the lion share of touches out of the 49ers' backfield on Sunday. Unfortunately there was no where for him to go as most of his carries went for negative yardage. It's also surprising that he only garnered three targets in the passing game on a night where Nick Mullens attempted 38 passes. McKinnon's reign as the RB1 may be coming to an end on the other side of the 49ers' bye as they are expecting Mostert to return to the field. He should, however, hold some flex appeal given that Kyle Shanahan likes to use all of his running backs.
