Rashaad Penny (knee) nearing return from IR

Seahawks' RB Rashaad Penny (knee) is "on the verge" of returning from IR and is "a week or two away" according to HC Pete Carroll, per source. (Gregg Bell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Penny has been on IR since tearing a ligament in his knee against the Rams in December 2019. With starting RB Chris Carson and back-up RB Carlos Hyde battling their own injuries in recent weeks, Seattle has had to rely on rookie DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer to split carries. Penny, a former first-round pick in 2018, will provide experience and fresh legs to a backfield that desperately needs it. Penny has rushed for 789 yards and five touchdowns and has caught 17 receptions for 158 yards and a touchdown in two seasons with the Seahawks.
