Irv Smith Jr. expected to play in Week 11

by Anthony Cervino | Chiefs Correspondent | Sun, Nov 22nd 5:17am EST

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting Vikings TE Irv Smith Jr. (groin) is expected to play in Week 11. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Following his 2/10/2 line on four targets back in Week 9 against the Lions, Smith sustained a groin injury and has not played since, missing one game. However, Smith appears to be trending in the right direction to play in Sunday's matchup with the Cowboys, surrendering the 11th most FPPG (8.8) to tight ends. The Cowboys have allowed a touchdown to an enemy tight end in two of their past three games. Smith is a touchdown-needy dart throw in Week 11, better left on the outside looking in of your fantasy lineups.
