According to Chargers beat writer Daniel Popper, Ballage appeared to tweak something while working in individual drills Thursday. This is definitely a situation worth monitoring, as if Ballage and Austin Ekeler both can’t go in Week 12, it’d be Joshua Kelley and Troymaine Pope as the two healthy backs for the Chargers at Buffalo. Both time last guys played together against Denver in Week 8, it was Pope the Chargers trusted in the passing-game and down the stretch over Kelley. It’s also worth mentioning that Pope will celebrate his 27th birthday on Sunday. He’s currently available in over 99% of ESPN leagues. Both Pope and Kelley are worthwhile free agency stashes while we wait to hear about the playing status of Ballage and Ekeler.
