David Johnson (concussion) returns to practice, 'looks great'

by Dave Kluge | Thu, Dec 3rd 4:54pm EST

David Johnson has finally returned to practice after speculation that he would be designated to return from IR. Aaron Wilson with the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Texans offensive coordinator Tim Kelly said "David looks great. He's done a good job. Look forward to working him back in the mix." Fantasy Impact:

Although not officially confirmed, all signs point towards Johnson returning for Week 13's tilt against the Colts. Because of the nature of his injury, it should be safe to assume that Johnson would retain his role atop the Texan's running back depth chart if he's cleared to play. If he's able to play, he'd make for an RB2 in a tough matchup against the Colts while Duke Johnson becomes unplayable in most formats. If David Johnson suffers any setbacks this week in practice, Duke Johnson would make for a low-end RB2. We'll update notes throughout the next few days of practice as more information becomes available.
