49ers QB Nick Mullens (elbow) sustained an elbow injury in Week 15’s loss to the Cowboys that will likely require surgery. C.J. Beathard will be the starter against the Cardinals in Week 16. (Matt Maiocco on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Beathard entered the game against the Cowboys after Mullens had to leave with an elbow injury. Being as Jimmy Garoppolo won’t play in Week 16, it’s going to be Beathard getting the start by default. He shouldn’t be considered anything more than a low-end QB2 for that game.
