Christian McCaffrey (quad) unlikely to play in Week 17

Panthers HC Matt Rhule said he would “lean toward RB Christian McCaffrey (quad) not playing in the season finale based on what he knows and has seen.” (David Newton on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
McCaffrey is unlikely to play in Week 17’s contest against the Saints. He hasn’t played since Week 9’s loss to the Chiefs and is trending towards missing his 13th game of the year. The Panthers are (5-10) and out of playoff contention, with no real reason to rush the star RB back into action. If ruled out, CMC will have miss his seventh consecutive game. Mike Davis will once again be the Panthers’ primary back in Week 17 if CMC is unable to suit up.
