Fantasy Impact:
Garoppolo was designated to return from IR last week but won't wind up playing again this season. The 29-year-old hasn't played since Week 8 and his future in San Francisco is uncertain at best. The 49ers can save roughly $24 million in cap space by releasing him over the offseason. Perhaps the two sides will work to restructure the contract, but it's unlikely Garoppolo returns on these terms.
