Carson Wentz is not drawing any interest from the New England Patriots

by Dave Kluge | Colts Correspondent | Tue, Feb 9th 9:55pm EST

Carson Wentz, who is reportedly set to be traded soon, will not be heading to New England. "The Patriots aren’t a serious suitor for Wentz," per a Jeff Howe source. (Jeff Howe with The Athletic)

Fantasy Impact:

The Patriots appear likely to head into the 2021 season with a glaring weakness at quarterback, but they do not seem interested in likely-to-be-traded Carson Wentz. Howe went on to say that the Patriots may be interested in bringing back Jimmy Garoppolo however. Wentz has now been tied to trade rumors regarding the Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, and Denver Broncos, among others. In the 2019 offseason, the quarterback signed a 4-year/$128M extension that most teams don't seem interested in giving up much for. Now 28 years old, Wentz may be playing his first season for someone other than the Eagles since they drafted him second overall in 2016.
