Fantasy Impact:

The NFL's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports that she has been in contact with Roethlisberger's agent Ryan Tollner. He states that "They (Steelers) want Ben back and will contact me soon to address his cap situation." This will likely include a restructure of the veteran QB's contract to be more cap-friendly, thus freeing up additional resources for Pittsburg to make a run at the Super Bowl. The Steelers were red hot to start the 2020 season, going 11-0 before losing 5 of their last 6, including a bitter loss to the Cleveland Browns in the NFL Wild Card Round. Roethlisberger had a respectable 2020, recording 3,803 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and ten interceptions. Coming off of "Tommy John" surgery in 2019, he struggled with his deep ball, finishing with 6.3 yards-per-attempt, the lowest in his career. The Steelers hope another year removed from the elbow injury, and they will see the veteran gunslinger return to form and help the team make a deep playoff run.
