Teams have until 12:00 PM EST Monday to re-sign their own players, and according to sources, the Packers are trying to re-sign star RB Aaron Jones. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

As was expected, the Packers did not choose to use the Franchise Tag on Jones, who will become a free agent if he does not reach a deal with the Packers by the Monday deadline. The Packers are trying to re-sign Jones, but Jones and his camp likely won’t take a hometown discount if the offer isn’t what he believes he’s worth. Jones has rushed for over 3,000 yards and 37 touchdowns in his four years in Green Bay. AJ Dillon’s 2021 outlook depends heavily on if the Packers re-sign Jones to a contract extension.
