The trade for QB Jared Goff to the Detroit Lions has officially been finalized, per Adam Schefter. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Goff was part of the trade package that sent former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams last month. Goff earned Pro-Bowl nods in 2017 and 2018, including a trip to Super Bowl LIII against the New England Patriots, where the quarterback was unable to deliver in clutch moments. Regardless, he has thrown for over 18,000 passing yards and 107 touchdowns with a 91.5 passer rating throughout his five-year career with the Rams. Detroit is undergoing a regime change with new head coach Dan Campbell and will get a fresh start with Goff under center in the Motor City for 2021. The Lions are hoping to tap into Goff's elite play from 2017 and 2018 to reverse the losing culture that has permeated the franchise for so long, although rumors of the Lions drafting a quarterback have gained steam in recent days.
