The Raiders asked quarterback Marcus Mariota to take a paycut down to just $3M this year and is likely to be released or traded, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Mariota is due to make is due $10.725M this season. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Given what quarterbacks like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyrod Taylor, and Jacoby Brissett just received on the open market, it's unlikely Mariota would be interested in cutting his salary all the way down to $3 million. Mariota should be on the move in the coming days and may even find a landing spot that allows him to compete for the starting job in 2021.
