Jimmy Garoppolo: 49ers plan to keep him despite trading for No. 3 pick

Fantasy Impact:
San Francisco just moved up to the No. 3 spot in this year's NFL Draft, which obviously signals they want to take a quarterback. However, it's sounding as if they would be comfortable sitting a rookie QB for a year. The Chiefs did this recently with Patrick Mahomes, though it isn't all that common for top draft picks these days. The 49ers might still move Garoppolo if they receive a big offer, but as of now it sounds as if he'll enter 2021 as the team's starter.
