Melvin Gordon 'the feature back this year,' but Broncos could draft back

by Joshua Kellem | Broncos Correspondent | Mon, Apr 26th 7:49pm EDT

KOA NewsRadio's Benjamin Allbright appeared on The Underdog Football Show With Josh Norris Monday, saying "I think [Melvin Gordon] is a one-year player for the Broncos. At his cost, I think he's the feature back this year - If you look at Pat Shurmur offenses, he prefers that bell-cow - but I do think they are seriously looking in the draft at running backs as well." Fantasy Impact:

Allbright added, "They were pleased with Melvin in the back half of the season. They just didn't really care about that first half of the season with the fumbles and [the DUI]." Allbright is asked about Gordon at the 39:50 mark of the podcast. He confirmed Gordon's DUI case was adjudicated, though. The back totaled 215 carries for 986 rushing yards and nine touchdowns last season. He totaled 32 receptions on 44 targets for 158 receiving yards and a touchdown, as well.
