Mason Rudolph ‘closing in’ on a one-year extension with the Steelers

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the Steelers are closing in on a one-year contract extension with QB Mason Rudolph. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Rudolph is expected to sign a one-year extension with the Steelers, which will keep him in Pittsburgh through 2022. He is expected to serve as the Steelers’ backup quarterback in 2021 behind veteran starting QB Ben Roethlisberger. Rudolph completed 58.1 percent of his passes for 324 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in 2020.
