The Washington Football Team have selected TE John Bates with the No. 124 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact:
The Boise State prospect lands in Washington, adding good blocking and a quick route release alongside Logan Thomas in two tight-end sets. The acquisition of Bates will help QB Ryan Fitzpatrick have a second security blanket across the middle of the field. Bates also helps emerging star RB Antonio Gibson by getting blocks sealed on the perimeter to execute the pro-style offense implemented by head coach Ron Rivera.
