Fantasy Impact:

The Lions waived former second-round pick RB Kerryon Johnson on Wednesday. He was limited to 18 games in his first two seasons in Detroit due to injuries. The 23-year-old was unproductive in 2020, logging 52 carries for 181 rushing yards (3.5 YPC) along with 19 receptions on 26 targets for 187 receiving yards and three total touchdowns. The Lions drafted star RB D’Andre Swift 35th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft and signed former Packers RB Jamaal Williams in free agency this offseason, making Johnson expendable. Kerryon will look to latch onto another team. The 23-year-old is currently 73rd among all running backs in the latest expert consensus draft rankings, but that number could rise pending on which team he lands with during the offseason.
