San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (knee) tore his meniscus during a weightlifting session last week and will be placed on the PUP list to begin the 2021 season, per 49ers' GM John Lynch. (Nick Wagner on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Wilson underwent successful surgery last Friday to repair a torn meniscus he suffered during a weightlifting session at the 49ers' facility. His recovery is estimated to last four to six months, meaning Raheem Mostert, Trey Sermon, Wayne Gallman, and Elijah Mitchell will have an increased opportunity to earn a significant role in one of the league's most run-centric offenses. Expect Sermon's ADP to climb in upcoming redraft leagues, as head coach Kyle Shanahan traded up and used third-round draft capital to acquire the big-bodied running back out of Ohio State.
