Jeff Legwold writes the Broncos expect WR Courtland Sutton to be good to go for the start of the 2021 season and are thrilled to have him back. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Sutton is returning from a torn-ACL he suffered early in the 2020 season. He is expected to be on a pitch-count of sorts throughout training camp, but should be ready to give the Broncos' passing game a big jolt once it's game time. The former Mustang had a breakout sophomore campaign when he racked up 72 catches for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns. The quarterback situation is not ideal, but fantasy managers should take solace in the fact that either Drew Lock will take a step forward and hold off Teddy Bridgewater or he won't and Bridgewater will start. In Carolina, Bridgewater was able to support two top-24 wide receivers. Either way, the Broncos' offense should have better quarterback play than it did in 2020. Sutton has shown the capability to be an alpha receiver, but he is now competing for targets with another elite prospect in Jerry Jeudy. He's currently ranked as the WR31, which feels like a nice spot for fantasy managers. There's upside for Sutton to be a WR2 in 2021, but with an offense that is likely aiming to limit their passing attempts, volume may be an issue for him reaching that ceiling.
