Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jaguars have agreed to terms with former Clemson RB, Travis Etienne, who was selected 25th overall in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Jaguars have now signed both of their Clemson first round selections from the 2021 NFL Draft, with the latest being Etienne. The specifics of the deal are still unknown, but there will be no offset language with a large signing bonus upfront. Even though the Jaguars already had 2020 rookie RB sensation, James Robinson, they still elected to draft Etienne back in April. At this moment the expectation is that Eitenne will be the primary pass-catching back for Jacksonville as evident by his cross-training at wide receiver. For fantasy purposes volume will likely be an issue for Etienne as he will have to contend with Robinson and Carlos Hyde. Etienne is currently the RB 24 on FantasyPros for PPR purposes, but does have decent upside depending on how quickly he picks up the offense and could very well earn more playing time as the season progresses, making him a solid stash for 2021.
