David Bakhtiari (knee) placed on the PUP list on Tuesday

by Matthew MacKay | Tue, Jul 27th 6:18pm EDT

Green Bay Packers All-Pro LT David Bakhtiari (knee) was placed on the league's physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Tuesday, per Field Yates. (Field Yates on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Bakhtiari suffered a torn ACL in Week 16 last season, which definitely showed up during the postseason, particularly in the NFC Championship game against a stingy Tampa Bay defensive front. He will have the opportunity to avoid staying on the PUP list until the start of the regular season if he is able to return during training camp. Otherwise, players become eligible to miss the first six weeks of the regular season on the in-season PUP list if they cannot return to practice during training camp. With the return of Aaron Rodgers to Green Bay after a long offseason of disgruntled rumors, expect Bakhtiari to take his time rehabbing the serious knee injury he suffered just eight months ago. After all, he is coming off his first All-Pro selection and third Pro-Bowl nominee in just an eight-year career with the Packers.
