Taysom Hill opens training camp with first-team offense

The Saints’ first practice session wrapped up on Thursday with Taysom Hill taking snaps with the first team offense, while Jameis Winston ran the second team. (John Sigler on Twitter)

That isn’t surprising. Hill has more experience in the system and started four games last year when Drew Brees was injured. As the starter, Hill threw for 928 yards, four touchdowns, while completing 71.92 percent of his attempts. He also added 209 yards and four more touchdowns on the ground. In weeks 11-14, as the starter, Hill averaged 21.57 fantasy points per game. Which was good enough for QB6 in that span.
