Melvin Gordon is clearly the RB1 in the Broncos offense, according to KOA NewsRadio's Benjamin Allbright. The insider went as far as to capitalize clearly. (Benjamin Allbright on Twitter)
Allbright added that he believes his observation is being glossed over. Earlier in the offseason, there was hype surrounding Javonte Williams. The Broncos traded up in the second round to draft the rookie RB. But as Allbright reported before the draft, Melvin Gordon is "the feature back this year." At the time, the insider added that the Broncos could draft a back and they did. So, everything Allbright's reported thus far has come to fruition. With a depressed ADP, now is the time to buy the dip on Melvin Gordon. The veteran RB averaged 20.8 touches per game - 18.4 carries and 2.4 receptions on 3.6 targets - in five games without Phillip Lindsay last season as the feature back. For context, he averaged 15.7 fantasy points per game and that would've been good for RB11 - not factoring in injuries at the position.
