Raiders will release James Jones

WR James Jones has been informed that he will be released from his contract with the Oakland Raiders. (ProFootballTalk.com via CSN Bay Area)
Fantasy Impact:
A somewhat high-profile free agent, Jones totaled a career-high 73 catches in 2014, but they were mostly empty from a fantasy perspective, totaling 666 yards and six touchdowns. Being released by a WR needy team isn't a harbinger of big things to come for a veteran WR, and the 31 year old Jones may be done with the fantasy relevant phase of his career, although we could've said the same thing about Brandon LaFell last year.
